I always preferred to cut off the whiskers on one side and watch them walk lopsided for weeks

Coat the whiskers in candle wax, then light them. Shave the rest of the cat first so it doesn't catch fire.

Thought for the next few hours: There are two certainties. If you drop a cat it will always land on it't feet. If you drop buttered bread on the floor it will always land buttered side down. Which of these certainties would give if you stapled buttered bread to the back of a cat and dropped them?

Perhaps the cat would lick the butter off the toast and land on his face; even though the toast is on his back, he can reach it. I believe in miracles, especially if we're stapling bread to cats and the cat lets you.
